metalic clank noise when starting in f or r
I just noticed that my 2005 PDS cart has started making a momentaryy metallic sound when pressing the gas rapidly either in forward or reverse. Like hit the accekkerator and there i a " clank" It will not make any noise when starting slowly.
Any ideas on where to begin. thanks |

Where does it sound like the noise is coming from? Front/rear/middle?
If you jostle the cart does it make the noise? The spring bushings could be worn out, that's the first place I'd look but it could be a bunch of stuff. Do you have a 'buddy' who'd hang a lead weight on 3 inches of fishing line under your cowling?... That'd give a clank on hard start. |

Motor coupler to axle splines. Probably hasn't been serviced since new.

I thought it sounded like the rear brake drums being loose. But it is coming from the rear end none the less.
If I press the accelerator slowly no noise. But if I press fast and to the floor I get a metallic noise. How difficult to deal with the splines ect...? Thanks |
