Have a look at Post #14 and #15. As you will see in the photos, my contactor had light to moderate arcing on the contacts. I gave them a light buffing with a cloth (did NOT use emery cloth), assembled it and have not had any problems with it since the inspection.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely be taking my contactor apart to see how it looks inside. I ordered the Alltrax SR48500 controller and 400 amp solenoid early this morning, so I have some work ahead of me. I'm going to need a F/R rocker switch to activate the contactor, can you recommend one that will handle the amps and the 48 volts?

https://www.amazon.com/Switch-OFF-si...+rocker+switch

I found this one on Amazon. It's rated at 20 amps and 30 amps continuous.

That one's fine.

The toggle switch isn't like a Forward-Reverse handle that can be found on these series carts where all the amperage flows through it. The rocker switch itself does not handle the amps the contactor itself does so using a wide variety of different 3-position toggle switches is fine.

Check with scottyB if he sells the Club Car type FNR enclosure by itself.

If he does not, there are other dealers that sell them as well.

Agree. Scotty is on Pacific time. See if he will throw one in with the order you just made. It's a proven Club Car switch.

I agree also on checking with Scotty.

That way you can mount it where the FNR lever was without having to drill new holes or finding a place to mount just the toggle switch.

Scotty has the switch plate with the hole for the ignition key, led meter and a hole for the F/R switch. I originally bought the switch plate for a series cart with just the hole for the ignition key and led meter. I'm going to see if Scotty can exchange that for the other switch plate. I think it would be a nice and clean installation.

I think Scotty is away until Monday, but I'll email to him to see how much he gets for just the switch. Thanks.

Yup, and with the CC switch you don't need to run the wires to the dash. By the knee is much better location IMO. For some reason EZGO thinks we should all be constantly reaching for the dash.
