Default 2001 lift with old style steering

I bought two carts one which I and stripping for parts the other is a 2001 bare frame TXT. I bought this as a lot and it came with a 4" strech plastics drop spindle lift kit extra axles and parts. I was told that every thing was interchangeable. My question is I think the lift is for new style steering and the frame has old style. The extra axle came with new style steering box on axle. I was contemplating fabricating a new mount on the frame for the new style steering but was wondering if I can make it work with the old style steering. The frame didn't have an axle so I don't know what the steering linkages looked like on that style.I am hoping there is an easier way.
Thanks for any help.

I think you will need to change everything except the steering wheel

Probably a lot simpler to just find a different drop axle for old style txt front end.

Can you post pics of what you got there?

Thanks scottyb The pic helps. It gives me an Idea of what the old style looks like. It looks like it will work I just need to find the tire rods and ends. I will try to post pics but I am new to the site.

When you are posting a reply, there is a paper clip symbol in the options above where you are typing, click this, browse to where your pic is on your cpu and then attach or open. Then click upload and there you go.

I fabricated a bracket to mount the new steering system on the frame but notice that the linkage that connects the wheel to the gear box is froze up. banged on it with hammer and soaked it in penetrating oil. Still haven't freed it up yet!!!

I haven't stopped working on it long enough to take the pics. I have the entire front end back together with exception of the cowling. I bought a rivet kit for ezgo but it looks like I will need more for some reason(lot of rivets in the front dash). I will try to get some pics up though. I will be waiting on parts and tire for a few days.
