Question Help me find the problem please:

I installed a new Alltrax Controller, Solenoid & D&D motor.
When I turn the key on nothing happens, but I can jump a wire from the positive battery terminal to the red positive diode on the solenoid and the controller comes on with green light LED. I put foot on pedal now and she has power to the drive train. I have not changed any wires from the off/on key switch or throttle area to the Reverse switch.

I have 36volts at the charger port. Reverse switch sounds warning fine.
Any ideas where to start with a process of elimination to figure out whats wrong between the off/on switch and the controller? I would appreciate any ideas.

Might be a reed switch failure. Check for 36v positive at the red/white wire at the backside of the charger receptacle .... if this is not the problem post a clear in focus picture of the controller and solenoid.

Yes the red wire is connected to controller wire 1,
Should I have 36 volts at the on/off switch on the front of the cart? Thanks in advance for your help.

I posted this diagram earlier for superman... he too found a good deal without any tech support. The cheapest price isn't always the best deal.
It sounds like you have everything hooked up right to make it run except the solenoid activation circuit. Is yours a series cart? Did you ever check that little red wire at the back of the charge receptacle like I suggested?

It looks like it is fine to me as the batteries seem to charge fine. I will double check that when I get back home. Sitting at a truck stop in California for a few more minutes then on to San Francisco and LA then I will be headed home by Monday if all goes well. Thanks for your help. Did anyone figure what the voltage is suppose to read at the switch? If it is suppose to read 36 volts there, then that might be my problem.
