Looks great ! On a sparky cart would you wire to your batteries or should you add a 12v to run accessories?

I’m using an extra 12V bc a winch can pull some big amperage under heavy loads. Most people have a reducer that takes the pack voltage (36V or 48V) and reduces it to 12V. This is convenient because you don’t need an extra battery or extra charger. The problem is the best reducers only allow around 30 amps. That may not be enough for the winch and could cause problems especially while running other accessories like lights and stuff.
You can wire your accessories to 2 6V batteries in your pack but SHOULD NEVER BE DONE, especially using heavy accessories. Here is a little more info for needing extra 12v for accessories. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...e-reducer.html |
