1995 ezgo fr switch arching
hi, i've installed 6 new trojon t105 and 4ga wires. since then the fr switch has been arching on wire c. you can see the black around the wire c where it has been arching. it runs good and pulls up the hills fine. it has the factory fr switch, factory controller and factory motor in it, not upgrades have been done. so my question, any ideas on what it going on? should i upgrade the fr switch to a hd fr switch? thanks for your help! this a series cart.

Re: 1995 ezgo fr switch arching
Sounds like it needs tightening up maybe. If it's done this for awhile you may need to take it a part and see if the board is damaged or the contact.

thanks, we tighten up and so far no arching! the board looks good! we'll keep an eye on it to see if that continues to help. thanks again!

Re: 1995 ezgo fr switch arching
I have seen the switch burn up on stock carts that were operated on steep hills or under extra load, figure it is 15 years old.... it is time to replace it with a HD unit if you wish to upgrade any more.
I hope this helps. |
