48v Upgrade but Alas No Go.
Well I received all my components for my 48v upgrade and finally had a bit of time to try and get the thing running. I figured i would be the one that didn't have any problems but I was not so lucky.
I have followed some of the troubleshooting guides as well as tried a little search but can't seem to get it working. Equipment: 2001 PDS EZgo Six 8v Trojan batteries (New) Alltrax 500 amp Controller (New) Voltage Numbers: Pack 52.4v After Solenoid 46.7v No voltage getting to key switch or F/R button Diagnostic guide says that I may have bad resistor but it is new. So I was hoping that is was something that I may have overlooked. Here is a pic in case anyone sees anything I may have hooked up wrong but I have checked and triple checked and it seems fine. I have plenty more photos if anyone needs a different angle. |

Clean looking install . I see no obvious problem. Is the solenoid clicking when you step on the gas? (key on cart in Gear)

Re: 48v Upgrade but Alas No Go.
I am trying to keep it as clean as I can. It usually avoids complications later done the road. I will be tidying up those wires more but I wanted to get this issue working first before I find a permanent home for all those wires.
No Clicking. Key is on and in Forward. No clicking. No nothing really. |

Re: 48v Upgrade but Alas No Go.
IS the original charger receptacle intact? Specifically the Red/white wire at the back of the charge receptacle?

No. I have the on board charger I bought from you. I thought that Red/White wire was useless with new charger. I am having trouble even seeing where that wire ends up at controller.

Didn't know if you had gotten into the charger install, but like the direction says, the red/white wire from the back of the old charger receptacle MUST reconnect to the battery pack Positive. This should get you going

Oh come Scotty, who really needs directions?
Oh I guess I do!!! Worked like a charm. Heard the click and wheels started spinning when I stepped on the throttle. |
