Default 1986 Club Car 36 volt 2year old Trojans

Will run forward slow but steady.Runs slower in reverse on level ground but want go on incline.Very weak in reverse
Batterys load test 7.2 can you help me?Where do I start? Thanks

When you say slow, how fast are you going? reverse is designed to go half the speed as forward, reverse only use half of the batteries

About 10 mph.I have been told a comtrpler but then was told no.I took these batterys from another cart thanking maybe that was problem but did not help.Will move slow in reverse but any incline it stops

10mph is normal for a stock 36 volt DS cart in that year. Mine was 10-11 mph before I did my swap to 48 volts using a controller. Have you tested all of the batteries to be sure they are working good? What is the pack voltage? Have you checked the voltage while driving?

when i got my 93 it was wired to 18v reverse i got better wire and wired it to 36v

Yeah that is normal to be wired for 18v

Check to make sure all of your solenoids are working. It sounds to me like maybe just four are kicking in. Also check the slide to make sure all 5 micro-switches are working.

I'm assuming that you, at one time, had better performance from the cart, ie., faster speeds.

Bought it 6 months ago.Checked batterys found one bad replaced it.Still slow so took 2 yo Trojans from another cart and put in this cart.Seem to help speed forward but not reverse.
You guys are giving me lots good information and hopefully I will get problem solved
If you have other ideas I'm listening.
