Default controller hooked up wrong

I hooked my controller up today on my 2002 club car ds .I mistakenly hooked the yellow wire up on the wrong post.The cart flew in reverse. I shut it of an hooked it up right .now it want go forward or reverse.It beebs in reverse but doesn't move.It clicks when I push the pedal down.Did I blow the soelnoid or the controller.Thanks for advice

Was the cart in tow the entire time you were messing with wires?

He stated he drove the cart, so it was not in tow mode.
If you mean you mis connected one of the large cables on the control then yes the controller could be damaged.

I was told mine didn't have a tow switch.I guess I'll just buy a new controller.

So a series cart then?
Can you Identify the 2 cables that were switched up?

Solid state devices do not like to see reverse voltages even for a mSec! Unless there is a fuse to protect them, they go POP!

Where does the yellow wire go to?

FYI the new SPM controls (Alltrax) have reverse polarity protection.
