![]() I don't know what to tell you, but EZGO doesn't recognize the number.

![]() So the wife and I just drove the 2five over to the local dealer to test drive a new Liberty. What a letdown compared to the 2five. EZGO messed up big when they discontinued the 2five. I’m sure the Liberty is great in it’s own right when compared to other carts, but the experience just reminded me how awesome these little 2fives are. With that said, I’m back on the lithium conversion bandwagon.
So with my cart having a 235amp controller, I should be fine with the kit I posted, correct? And my biggest question is, will I be safe to just simply install the lithium batteries per the manufacturer’s instructions? Or will it be necessary to have someone change or tweak settings within the controller? Thanks again for y’all’s help. I appreciate it. |

![]() I've also heard good things about the epoch kit. I personally like that you can buy the 2 battery kit and always add 2 more batteries later. It's a standard GC2 size so you don't have to modify the battery tray.
Only minor complication will be with the charger, you'll need to maintain the original charger interlock signal to the controller. On RXV, if you remove the charger receptacle it won't let you drive the cart as it interprets the signal as the charger being attached. |

The charger interlock won't let the solenoid engage unless it sees (I think, going from memory) 48V to that wire. You can basically hotwire around this problem once you know where the power needs to go. If you pull the factory charger out you'll also need to do some rewiring for the 12 volt accessories. I wanted mine to be 'clean' so I actually ordered connectors and made custom cables that had the jumpers I needed rather than hacking up the factory harness. I could pretty easily re-install the factory charger if I really wanted to. How familiar are you with reading/understanding wiring diagrams? A set printed in color goes a loooooonng way for this swap. Lastly, biggest downside of the swap I've noticed is the 2Five becomes very top heavy once the lead acids are out. I'm actually considering putting some weight under the nose to get some more weight on the front axle. Its more 'leany' in turns than it used to be due to the higher CG. |
