Default Trouble with charging

I am having an issue with my approximately 30 day old icon i60l charging. All of the sudden As soon as I plug in the built in charger it trips the breaker. Haven't added anything new to the cart or changed anything in my garage/power supply. I did w a wash the cart about a week ago but that's the only thing I can think of.

I tried plugging the cart into another outlet on a separate circuit and it immediately tripped that breaker (I did have to use an extension cord for this outlet).

I also tried plugging in other things aside from golf cart in these outlets and they worked fine.

Any ideas?

What gauge extension cord are you using? I use a 12.

Is it on a GFCI circuit?

Can you take it to another house, preferably a friend, and see if it trips there as well?

It is on a GFCI circuit (all breakers in my house are GFCI).

I tried hooking it up to my 1800 watt portable generator it it charged via gas generator fine.

Electrician is coming today to check the house side of the equation.

Hopefully your electrician can figure it out.

This article might be of help:

The other technical thing that could trip the GFCI (I'm told) is a large momentary surge that can happen when applying a voltage to a capacitive load. It's the same reason the contactor has a pre-charge resistor across it. So the contactor doesn't spark and weld itself closed. The motor controller would be the capacitive load in that scenario...doesn't make sense though.
