![]() I too am glad you got it fixed.
I have a magical power. When put to use, I can tell where people bought brand new parts that broke immediately. After some magic-working, I can deduce that you bought the spacer from BU. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() Glad you got it fixed. And those spacers are very fragile and easily broken. I've even seen them break off by someone rest their hand on the carb. while they lean over into the engine compartment.

![]() Actually, NO NO, I got it from LVS Golf Cars. Their prices are lower (generally) than BU. Sometimes a LOT lower. The broken spacer is my fault. My dad teases me about tigtening things until they are maxed out & then 1/4 turn more. I just beared down on it too much. I actually heard it crack, but being in denial, I just figured the screw squeeked in the hole. So much for denial. I've broken more than my fair share of small bolts & stuff by over-tightening. (I do own & use a torque wrench, just not on carb spacers). I have had very good luck with LVS so far. They are in Miami & my order got to me in like 2 days. I compared all the prices with BU. With all the stuff I ordered, including a set of rear shocks, I saved about $50 & the shipping is about the same price (FedEx Ground).

![]() I stand corrected.
![]() I have the opposite syndrome. I hate trying to loosen things that have been over-tightened and breaking them, so I end up leaving things overly loose. ![]() |

![]() I don't know which of us is worse NO NO.
By the way, I have another question. This is the first time I've run the stock engine with the 4" lift on the cart. Should I put a little more oil in it (more than just 1 qt.) since the motor is tilted back farther? With 1 qt, it barely registers on the dip stick. I just have a vent hose for the crackcase now, so I don't care if it blows a little oil. What do y'all think? Mike (BB) |

![]() When I had the stock engine in I always added about 2 shot glasses more with
the 4" lift. Some said yes some said no. It seemed right to me. |

![]() I came across a 1991 G2 last weekend at the campground that the guy topped it off. It put every bit over a quart in his air box.
![]() I would say put a quart or just a hair over like Ron mentioned but NO more because it WILL end up where you don't want it. |

![]() Mike has no air box, just a vent tube. If some blows out, no big deal.

![]() I always keep my G9 (4 inch lift), oil level halfway up the dip stick level markings: |xxxIxxx| (about 1.25 quarts).
