Re: Yamaha G1 Service manual
Go to ebay-search all categories for "yamaha golf cart manual"- I just left it and its still there for the G1 for $11. Remember, a lot of us are working on the same 30 year old cart and we all share the same problems. We all want things to happen right now but they rarely do. Slow down and enjoy the ride my friend

Re: Yamaha G1 Service manual
Just bought one on eBay that is downloadable, or you can get it on a CD. It covers 1983-1989 Yamaha models, including G1-A3 through G1-E3 (my G1-A4 is in there too). Cost was $10.00. I will download and burn it to a CD for saving. Will keep one on my puter so I can print off any pages I want quickly. Seller was - hdmanuals - if anyone is searching eBay.
I'm getting psyched about doing a thorough tuneup on 'Big Ed' (my cart). I've done the quick tuneup, but want to go further is time. Got the link already. Cool. |

Re: Yamaha G1 Service manual
I sold a bunch and gave away a lot of them and was threatened by sone dealers that sold the $60.00 version. So I decided to stop and avoid problems. I still don't think they sold many. I got mine as a download from Yamaha when they would let you do such. I also was able to download the G9 Manual.

Re: Yamaha G1 Service manual
I've already written to HDMANUAL, his manual does NOT cover the 82 G1!
That's why I posted the following: The only manual I can find on ebay is LIT-11616-03-27 But the seller says it is 83 - 89 only. On the Yamaha site it says LIT-11616-G1-83 does cover the 82, J17. AND the LIT-11616-G1-83 shows to have superceded LIT-11616-03-27 Even though the LIT-11616-03-27 doesn't cover my year... Will it cover the core engine. I understand buggie differences and am not worried about them. I'm not a total newbie... But when rebuilding an engine it would sure be nice to have the correct manual!! Glenn |

Re: Yamaha G1 Service manual
If you have a 1982, then is your model a G1-A3? As far as I can tell, there were several manuals around that time:
Mine is a 1984 G1-AM4. It is the exact model that is important in finding your manual. I bought the LIT-11616-G1-83. The manual that I bought is not EXACTLY the same as my cart, but close enough for the work I need to do. According to the second page, it covers the G1A/M/E/M (3,4,5). A few pages of the manual are written for the G1-AM3, but the majority of it is written specifically for the G1-A3 & G1-E3 (E=electric). This manual is the closest I could find for my cart, but I am NOT overhauling an engine. According to the manual, "the frame serial number is located on the left hand side of the rectangular pipe by the rear bumper. The first three numbers identify the model. This is followed by a dash. The remaining digits identify the production number of the unit." The G1-A3 model used J17-000101 as the starting frame serial number sequence. This number is also used as the Engine serial number sequence (found on the right hand side of the crank case cover). The G1-A series included these models and serial numbers:
If all of this is true, and your model serial number is a J17, then the manual HDManual sold me would cover yours, more than mine. That is all the info I can share with you. If it helps, great, if not, I am sorry. |
