Ezgo legend? purchase?

Good morning all,
I'm new to the forum and new to golf carts. I've always had gas atvs and utv and im looking for something to ride kids around in the neighborhood and to take camping with us. I came across an older ezgo for sale for next to nothing and im debating on pulling the trigger on it. Its an older three wheel model and im hesitant to purchase because of age im worried parts will be hard to come by. im having trouble locating any info online, and just trying to determine of its worth my time. i feel like im pretty mechanical and have always done my own maintenance on all my gas powered stuff but no cart stuff.
its basically a rolling chassis, frame, body and wheels. no batteries no charger not even sure if the motor runs or rear end is any good?

Hi PIT....you came to the right place to get the info you are looking for.....believe it or not there are still parts available.....as the drive systems spanned many years. and considering you described it as a blank canvas.....you will be able to do pretty much anything you want...up to and including upgrading the drive system to a newer more reliable drive system....its not that hard. And the folks here will help you and every turn.


on and btw....Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives’, husbands, girlfriend’s and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.



oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
