The Throttle Position sensor won't work with AllTrax controllers because of the Hi Pedal Detection feature. Since the TPS doesn't have an actual microswitch in it to open and close it triggers a fault. The Curtis software is designed to work decently with it, but the Alltrax is not. That's what's causing your issue. It's not got anything to do with the potentiometer function of the TPS

SO, TahoeDawg, if one has a 2012 Club Car Prcedent S/N PD1208-XXXXXX and it stated in his owners manual that it is a Club Car Excel System, all he has to do is replace the wiring harness with one for an IQ System and then one can use the speed magnet to gain extra speed, or, does he have to replace the motor and controler

Thanks
Dale D

You must replace the wire harness. After this has been completed the car is now "Wired" for an IQ controller. You must now install an IQ controller. The motor is the same between the two systems so there's no reason to change that.

TO add my 2 cents worth - I have done it and it works..abeit, I am using an after market Alltrax 500 controller. Search my posts for my perils, discoveries and solutions - this group was great.

Thanks to Tahoe dawg and the others that have input their opinions
I will order the wiring harness and the Alltrax DX500 controler and wire them into my system

Today I put 21" tires on 14" wheels, and my cart went from 14 mph to 18 mph simply by doing a tire sizw swap out
I installed the 1/2" plate on the front, and I had to cut my rear fenders 2" and clean up the edges, but all in all, it was a simple way to gain speed without making any other changes to the cart
I'll post photo's later today
I will also try making some rear shackles for it this week,. and I'll post pics and design specs, since none exist as of yet

Dale, Is you cart set on the highest speed code, code 4? I was under the impression that the highest speed code would give you about 19 mph alone.

Hey 55 Bigblock
No, I live here in Lafayette, La. There isn't a Club Car dealer anywhere nearby that can program it to speed code 4 for me

I welcome any input as to where I might get this done, and I would like to try that too
Then there would be no reason to do the wiring harnes and controller swap out

Thanks
Dale
