Default G9 Speed Gear HELP!!!!!

I'm installing a set of speed gears on my Yamaha G9A rearend. I've got it all apart and upon isntallation of the new gears, from CPP, I found that the ID Of the final drive gear, the big one that is bolted in, has and ID of 1.022" and the ID of the gear I removed is 1.142". Obviously the new gear is too small. The spider gear will not insert into it. Has this happened to anyone esle? If so what'd you do to resolve?

I plan to call CPP tomorrow morning to review the options. I'm hoping they sent me the wrong gear. But I'm not holding my breath.

I recently installed the gears in my G2. Got them from CPP didn't have any problems. I wonder if your G9 has the stock rear end or if it got changed over the years. Maybe Tom just sent you the wrong gears.

So long story short. I've got a G9 rear with non G9 internals regarding the spider gear. So I took the gear down to a machine shop and had them bore it out to the appropriat ID. Got the installed and it kicks tail!

Would it be possible your Yamaha is a Japanese version (G15 or G17)?

I have myself a G15 and would be interested by such a kit...

What is the result on a 4/5 passengers concerning the torque at start? Isn't it too slow?

Regards
