Bought a g1 today

The early ones had a primary clutch with a roller bearing on the center shaft. They would roll around pretty easily, unless that roller bearing was all gummed up, which is likely if it has been sitting or not maintained. The later models had a different clutch, they liked to grab a little more on the belt.

But as the others have said, it should move. So if it won't, check the brakes and remove the belt.

Thanks everyone ! I'm still trying to search down the vin on it so I know what year it actually is, I'll get it off the trailer later today n crawl around it n see if I can't find it, I know it's suppose to be on main Fran back around the rear bumper mount, ( I found that out from reading some of the sticks)

Does this cart have a maintenance mode to try and start it or do I just need to put it up on jacks ??

No "maintainence mode", no gas Yamaha has ever had one. You must be thinking of clubcar.

Yes my profile pic is of a 01 D's club car I had, it had maintainance mode, this is only my second cart, so don't know much about it
