Default Engine won't fire-just had it running few days ago

Hello, this is my first golf cart, I've been working on a lift and painting body and basic tune up. Replaced spark plugs, fuel filter, fuel lines/pump, air cleaner, oil/filter, brake shoes..... Couldn't keep it running so replaced the fuel pump and ran great with tires in the air. Disconnected battery while I did some body work, tried to fire a few days later and all I get is the starter turning. I just replaced coil pack and wires but same result. Seems to be ignition related, any ideas? These have an ignition module that could've just taken a dump?

Have you checked to see if plugs are firing?

I felt current run thru wires while grounding the plugs, but no sparks. Battery shows 12.5 volts but only 5 when cranking-guessing battery is bad?....

Depending on temperature, if you get down into the 9 volt range while cranking, the battery is junk.

It's near 80 here...... Can the voltage regulator be the culprit? Maybe I should jump start it to see..... It should be fine since its 12V right?

You said it gets down to 5 volts while cranking. That is way below 9.6 volts. Your battery is junk.

The voltage regulator only comes into play after it is running.

Jumped it and fired up. I should've known better, to check battery under load
