Bummer. I have no idea what to tell you to try next with that controller. There is some other not so obvious damage.

Some time ago back when I thought building computers and overclocking them was fun. I was installing a P3 Tualatin CPU with a big cooling tower and fan on a favorite Motherboard that handled being overclocked very well when the screwdriver slipped..... Well I had to use a magnifying glass to see the almost microscopic grain of sand devise that had been knocked loose... And NOPE that motherboard never booted up again!

I'm looking at going with the Alltrax XCT400IQ + upgrade SW180 solenoid through Scottyb.

Do you think upgraded cables are necessary? I'd rather not go into that much if i don't have too.

Use at least 4 gauge cables... 6 gauge cables are not good for more than 250 amps...

While you are at it I would upgrade the cables. Scottyb's cables are very nice. I have a set in my cart along with my Alltrax and lithium Leaf batteries.

I can say that if you absolutely do not want to re-cable the cart for reasons related to expense or effort & time... that the cart's performance will still be improved significantly by the XCT400 install.
However... I have tested the research carts here at the Carts Unlimited research Lab & the best performance won't be had until the cables are all upgraded.

Couple of questions. Do you have the precharge resistor still connected? Does the solenoid click when you press the throttle?

It would click when i reinstalled the controller. The cart would make a very faint groaning noise then cut out.

I removed the solenoid to fully test it again but turned the post by accident when removing it. Now it doesn't test as working.

I can't win for losing.

Also do you guys see any issue with my current motor using the new altrax 400 setup. As far as i know it was a stock motor the guy had sent off to get more torque and speed, mainly speed.
