Default G1 yamaha gas cart no fire, turns over

I am at a loss as to what could be wrong with my old cart, a few weeks ago I lost fire and installed a new coil. then about a week later it was running fine, I stopped at a stop sign, I depressed the gas pedal and it didn't start, I dragged it home to discover no fire,, I tried two new plugs, a second new coil. I tried to check all the wires "I might have missed something though" I took the flywheel off twice to check the winding things in there, all looks fine, I checked the wires coming from that and they show continunity, I took the complete wiring harness out from the dash board switch as well as the switch under the gas pedal and still nothing, I checked one of the solenoids what did have a crack in the bakelite and after cleaning and fixing the crack, no change, I read a thread where a guy got a Chnese 5 pin CDI box and put a couple of diodes in and it worked for hiim, it didn't for me. I am at a loss, I don't know what else to do, I am not good at electrical circuits I am fairly good at most any mechanical things though. any heip would be appreciated, or can I find some kind of alternate ignition source for this?
