Okay thanks.. I thought that's what you were saying, I will get one ordered. What about the surface of the two halves where the belt rides.. can I sand/polish them? The surface has some very very lite rust and pitting..in other words not a new looking surface.

Max, don't mean to harp on ya, but when I first got my car, it was a heap!! But I just started cleaning it up and replacing worn out parts, and making it run perfect!! Front end bushing were shot and stuff like that, but I knew those parts would be replaced with the lift!! I drove my car for over a month, making sure it had all its problems taken care of. Then after learning and getting familiar with golf carts, thats when I tore it down to bare frame, and started painting and detailing (rebuilding) each part as I put it back together!!

Read this site, start at the back, and read to current!! The old guys knew what they were doing!! Smallblock, Ess and New Guy and Gorno (just off the top of my head) are some (and Sho and Curti) are the ones that are still around!! Read these guys, they invented most of this stuff!! Your gonna read to, STUFF the steering gear with grease to take out slop in the steering!! When you read these old guys!!

Gas Yamaha is lucky, we have 2 Yamaha Techs on here!! Smallblock and CGtech!!

Don't pay much attention to (US) new guys!! We're not entirely accurate!!

Hey Mike..harp away I have tough skin..lol
Was told once only way you learn is to ask questions.. I just don't want to do anything that is going to cost me more to fix my mistakes..lol G2-G9 Tom has already helped me out with a few little mistakes I've made. I got this thing and it didn't run this season, but the little old lady that had it ran it the season before..once I got the bad fuel out and rebuilt the fuel pump and sonic cleaned the carb it ran very good and strong.. I immediately tore it down to start on the rusty frame and cancer..it's coming along..thanks to the help from guys here like yourself..it's all appreciated..

It goes behind the helix (spring seat)!! It replaces the Cir-clip on the transmission shaft!! Splines away from the tranny!!

Oh, aaa, don't forget the "Never Seize"!!.......

Thanks Ron!!

John, I had the tranny all apart to remove the governor, thinking that turning twice the speed that it was designed for, I was concerned it might come apart and expload the tranny!! Block told me "no, that won't happen". Well, I didn't take his advise, and took it apart anyway!! Well, as usual, he was correct!! that thing is way over built!!

So,,, anyway since it was apart, I just couldn't leave things alone, so I started polishing, and that is what I came up with!! Its not perfect, but as Curti says, its a 6' job!! (looks good at six feet!!)
