Default carb spitting fuel

I have a 1979 G1 Gas, Last week I began having a problem. Everyday I run Doberman w/ cart 1/2 to 1 mile. as soon as I get home to close gate it would not start. starter would just spin and NOTHING from engine. when cold it starts right up. I changed plug, always has fresh fuel w/sea foam additive, changed fuel filter, getting plenty of gas from fuel pump, muffler not blocked, compression at 80#s and steady. I took carb apart and cleaned everything w/ carb spray. This helped but w/ air filter assembly off carb spits fuel while starting and running also carb coughs or pops like a backfire in carb and spoke is coming out while running not constant but its there. I,ve had this cart 14 years after motor was rebuilt and keep up w/maintanence. Replaced carb about 6yrs ago w/ new one. any ideas????
Thanks Tony

Take a look at the reeds make sure a tab isn't bent or broken spitting fuel out the carb is a symptom of bad reeds..80psi is getting pretty low on compression

80psi compression is not good at all. In my experience, at that point, the engine does not perform well, and shows drivability problems like you have.
