Lift needed for Yamaha
Hi, I'm new to owning a golf cart and just purchased a 2013 Yamaha Drive. It's a plain cart and I'm wanting to do a lift and bigger tires. A buddy has some 12" wheels with 23's. What size lift will I need and which is better, spindle or a-arm. thanks any info will great.

Re: Lift needed for Yamaha
Jake's makes the best kits in my opinion. The spindle kit works just fine. The a-arm kit provides better ride tho. The 3" kit will not be enough for the tires you want to run (I'm thinking you will need 6").

Re: Lift needed for Yamaha
A arm is better for off road use, they are usually better lifts but you just don't need one if you only roll around a campground for example and want to budget for other things. A lift will ride better just from the big tires but a spindle lift gets you the same suspension you had. A dual arm lift works a little better and a LT (long travel) works a lot better, the best ones have new shocks with them. Normally a 4" lift fits 22 often 23, but the lift should say what it fits. Yamaha are 4/4 wheels like most golf carts, 4 lug 4 inch.
