Default G22 will not run after engine compartment cleaning.

Have a 2004 G2 gas gc...was running fine until I decided to rinse out engine area. Stayed clear of starter/gen. Will barely turn over but not enough to start up. Have replaced starter/gen thinking I may have messed it up...still will not start. It will turn over and start with battery charger connected. Take charger off...no go. Have cleaned terminals, removed battery and repainted battery area, fuse at solenoid (10) tests fine for continuity. Solenoid clicks when gas pedal is pressed..will barely turn over but not start..help.

Have you loaded tested your battery? Or swapped it with known good battery?

Either you have bad connection on battery posts or battery is shot. The charger is on outside of clamps on battery and not subject to post connection. Could also be connection of cables at the starter/gen partially working. They may look clean and not work, do not let them fool you. Clean the connections and see what you get. One time I had to take a file to the battery posts and inside the clamps, even a wire brush cleaner would not make them work. And they looked clean, but did not work. Soon as I measure mine I will buy new cables, I've had so many issues with them, just keep forgetting to do that.
