Default Precedent seat?

I’ve got a 2015 precedent and bought covers for it. I watched several videos on installing and my seat looks different. All the videos show a plastic bottomed seat, mine is plywood. Do I not have a precedent seat?

Thanks

It sounds as though your seat base has been modified...

I wondered that as well, but found a site where it showed the bottom and it's the same as theirs. Plus, the seat bottom has nicely installed nut serts for the attachments such as hinges and handles.

I think you may be right. Perhaps plywood is factory original on the 2015. Check out the screen grabs from the illustrated parts lists for yours vs my 2006 Precedent. While I didn't see any description of what the seat base is composed of, it certainly differs from mine which has a molded appearance vs yours which is smooth and flat.

Do you see those oblong holes on your seat base?

My 2011 precedent has the plastic seat base. I had to change it to the plywood base when I upgraded to the Trojan Ranger batteries, I needed the extra height. The hip restraints are different for each base also. Good luck getting those staples out of the plastic base, mine were stuck really bad, ended up selling the seat and buying a replacement with a plywood base.

I do have the oblong holes. Hopefully the cover fits the same.
