1993 Club Car DS FE290 smoking

I'm having an issue with my cart. It ran fine when I parked it in the garage one evening. Next day I came out and it wouldn't turn over, like it was locked up. I thought the battery may be dead, but it wasn't. I rolled it back and forth and got it to turn over and start. Took it for a drive and a minute later it started smoking pretty heavily. I checked the oil and it was way over full and smelled like gas real bad. I am assuming the gas hydrauliced the cylinder. Is this a fuel pump and or carb (stuck float bowl) issue?

Could be your vent/overflow is stopped up by an insect.

It's one of the two carb or fuel pump if the diaphragm rips it's will dump gas straight into the crank case pull the pulse line off and see if it's full of fuel if it is it's the pump if it's dry it's the carb
