torquing connecting rod bolts
Rebuilding FE290. What size torque wrench do I need to torque the connecting rod bolts?
I have a 3/8" drive but, unless I am missing something, there is not enough room to get it in there? I will buy a 1/4" drive if needed and it will fit. |

Re: torquing connecting rod bolts
It's tricky but a 3/8 should fit. Turn the crank and maybe try using a deep well socket and you should be able to get them both.

Re: torquing connecting rod bolts
3/8 torque wrench works fine. Just rotate the crank to get to the bolts.
