Default 2018 Drive PTV Removing battery for Winter storage

Is there a trick to removing the battery from a 2018 Drive PTV? I want to store it in the basement for the winter, on a battery tender, and cannot seem to figure out how to remove it. There is just not enough room to take it out.
I cannot imagine it was designed so the body has to be removed just to change the battery.
Thanks for your help.

The metal panel has some bolts you can remove to swing the panel out of the way. It is a pain to change battery on those.
