Question using gas pedal won't restart cart after stopping in F or R

Absolute newbie here, with very minimal knowledge. 88 Gas Club Car with New Carburetor, Clean gas tank. Starts in Neutral. When I shift to F or R, touchy with pedal to keep it running, but run it does. When I stop, it will not restart in F or R. I have to go back to N to get it running. What should I check next.

Also, there is a yellow knob on the engine side of the F N R switch. It allows the operation in N, but you have to move it to the second position to run in F R. You pull it, then turn it. Just fiddle with it, it will make sense after you do it a few times.

This sounds like your problem. It was also my problem at first.

Thank you guys! Was away from use of computer for a few days. It was actually a combination of the microswitch and the little yellow thingie. It's going like a champ now.
