removing front body
I need help. I want to remove the front body clip from my 1981 CC to make it a little easier to remove the steering box as well as work on the suspension, and steering linkage. I cant seem to figure it out. Please tell me what I'm missing. Any help appreciated.

Re: removing front body
First You Need To Take Off The Front Bumper, and The Fasteners Behind It.take Out The Bolts Or Big Screws On Top,then On The Aluminum Trim On The Outside, look Behind It And There Shold Be Some 1/4 Inch Head Size Screws, Just Loosen Them, dont Take Them Out.2 On Each Side And 2 On Top,then Just Take Off Front Cowl And The Trim Piece Should Remain On The Car.

You can buy those blind nuts and screws for the trim piece from any cc dealer.

Re: removing front body
Trick I use to hold the 't' heads in place. line them up and hold them in place with a long piece of electrical tape. Once you get the threads started pull the tape out.

Small cable ties and move them around to your liking with an ice pick.

Re: removing front body
Does anyone know where I can purchase those nuts that hold the trim screws, other than at a cc dealer..those things cost a lot of money and I thought someone might have some even aftermarket ones. Thanks
