Why is that, a quart is 32 oz and about a third of a quart is 10 oz do the math looks like 40 - 42 oz's to me

i get around a qt and a half in mine with the filter, and then top off when i need it. i run 10w30. thats what my cc dealer told me would be just fine, or they said i could run sae 30. 10w30 would just burn a little more in warmer climates/conditions

So have you seen that you are having to put oil very often? Straight 30 is it really that much thicker to where you wouldnt have oil loss? Im buying good oil but whatever is cheaper at the time I buy, which is always 10-30. Dont really see 30wt cheaper

well cc dealer said to run 10w30. my manual says 10w30. i have always ran 30 weight in air cooled other then my bug. the manual for my temp range here in ohio says i can run 10w30 , but it might use or burn more oil then straight weight. pluss with my jeep running 10w30 and i ahve 2 cases laying around, its kinda stupid for me to let it sit. i got penzoil in it right know. have had very little oil usage. but have only gotten around 8 hrs total since the first of the year.
