Scuba, I'm doing a similar radio install on my 2004 Precedent. I was wondering what you used mount the radio head to the dash? My dash didnt come with anything behind the doors.

I used a piece of black plastic which I cut down and also cut out the hole for the radio to slide through. Then I supported the radio head as well in the back of the tray.

Thanks, how did you attach it to the dash?

It's not attached... it's form fitted very well and along with the weight of the radio, as well as the support in the back, (non skid rubber pad,) it's held up extremely well.

You could use one of these. I just got done with mine a couple of days ago. Found this on ebay for less than 10 bucks. It's an underdash universal radio installation kit. What it actually is is just a plastic box, open at the top that is fitted for a DIN style radio. I took the hood off and drilled holes through the underbody and thru-bolted it and put the hood back on. Turned out very clean and solid and secure.

Sorry, not trying to hijack thread scuba. But rather than starting another one, I was thinking I could share here. I saw some questions about antennas. I found this online and it seems to work great. The squiggly antenna part has adhesive tape on it so you can mount it almost anywhere. These are made to go inside the fairings on motorcycles so I thought it should work inside the front cowl on the precedent as well. That's where I put mine and it picks up well. We don't get many radio stations where I live but this seems to pick up all that my truck does and just as clear. Just taped it down inside the cowl and ran the connection through a small hole I drilled that opens up behind where the radio is mounted so nobody sees it.

Hey Scubabud. I recently purchased a 1996 gas Club Car. After looking thru all the posts I decided to purchase the Polk Audio db651's. I noticed your nice looking baffles. Where did you purchase them and what was the price? Your cart looks outstanding!

That is exactly where I want to mount my second pair of 6.5"s. How hard was it to get them there and how do they sound, projection wise?

nice work scuba!

have you considered running a 110v inverter straight off the 48v pack? bucking 48v down to 12v then boosting it back up to 110v seems a little inefficient.

something like this could run christmas lights for the whole block. link
