My 1990 club car goes when you put it in forward or reverse without the key being on

I install new batteries,forward and reverse switch. Wires are in good shape. Traced all wires down with a wiring diagram. When the key is turned off position, and when I put it forward or reverse the cart will take off slow without the pedal push down. I had adjusted the pedal lever today and it is good. Can anyone him me as soon as possible.

Sounds like a stuck solenoid.

what kind of switch? V-Glide switch? How can you tell or test?

How can you test the solenoid? And If I need it now, can I take the old one down to the auto parts place and get one? Instead of ordering it through my dealers?

It's "Xtreme Golf Carts", not Extreme Golf Carts. I came up with the name.It's my name of my company that I started in 2007. I take old run down golf carts and rebuild them and customize them. I also, sell parts. Where are business Located?

You need to contact the administration if you want to advertise your business in your avatar or signature....

As far as the solenoid goes it must be a golf cart solenoid rated for your specific voltage. You can put a jumper wire across the 2 large posts just to bypass it just to begin diagnosing where the problem lies.

If you have a voltmeter diagnosis gets a little easier.
