No response at accelerator pedal; ATTN: scottb and shadowman
I have an electric Club Car (serial no. AQ0548-574730; 48v system). Scottb and shadowman provided valuable insights when I first posted this message about a week or so ago.
Battery voltage is reading just about 10v now. When I step on the accelerator pedal, there is no respnse. I have jumped the two main terminals on the solenoid with no response. Does this imply that the solenoid might be the problem, or is there additional testing that I must first conduct? Gordon Houston, Texas |

10v ...... is that for one battery or all four?
Doesn't matter, it is so low it won't run or respond to any tests. Retest pack voltage, if below 48v, recharge and retest solenoid jumper? |

Re: No response at accelerator pedal; ATTN: scottb and shadowman
Hey, scottyb --
Finally made it down to Galveston. That was for one battery. I leave the batteries on a charger when I am not here. What is the procedure for testing all five batteries for a total charge? Even if undercharged, wouldn't there be some response from a pedal depression? Forgot to mention that there was no cllicking at the solenoid. Gordon |

If I am using the correct measuring procedure, I come up with a figure of about 60 volts.

You r cart has 6/8v batteries? They are 10v each?
Was this measurement taken while it was on the charger? |

It might help to unplug the charger.....
Five batteries; reading is now 45 volts. Not quite 48v, but it should be enough to generate a response, don't you think? GB |

Re: No response at accelerator pedal; ATTN: scottb and shadowman
i don,t know that it is going to respond with only 45 volts ......you would think it should at least click soleniod but it may not be enough........i know the cart won,t drive while charger is plugged in but maybe try turning key on and hitting pedal see if soleniod clicks i,m not certain that will work but if it does that will tell us something...........................

No response when I hit the pedal; not even a click.
