Default Re: Installed trojans last night Batteries not charging..... Or maybe they are?....

got me a nice DVM across the pack it is now reading 52.3 DCA. but check out the battery readings:
approx readings-
first 4 batts consitent 8.5
5th battery - about 7
final battery about 4-5

so does this mean that perhaps they are actually being charger slowly and im down to charging the last two batteries in the line....?

On the charging receptical, on the back side, follow the red wire and tell us which battery it is hooked to and to what terminal.

it is hooked up to the 5th battery positive terminal......as in the battery that is (when facing the front of the cart) the furthest left and closest to the front...

If it was wired improperly in the first place, sure hope you did not buy new batteries when old ones may have been good to begin with . . .

I see that ALLLLL the time. You were technically only charging 5 batteries.

ok thanks again guys just confirming that that was the issue. and all the original batteries were indeed bad, i tested them and they all had bad cells lol. BUT now that ive got the trojans in there and they all have good charge it doesnt seem to be going much faster than when i tested it with the bad batteries.. ive charged them about 6 times...i brought my gps and it goes about 10 mph on straight, super slow on hills, and about 28 mph downhill lol. does this seem right? DS clubcar 14"wheels 23 tires thanks!
