Re: 48 volt solonoid won't energize
Well you really have me stumped now. Voltage regulators don't normally have that many wires on them. Where do these wires go?
According to my service manual that blue/white wire that looses power is the #4 pin on the Z connector that plugs into the controller. It completes a circuit from controller through wire to main solenoid. Controller turns off the soleniod after 2 seconds if vehicle is left inactive. Also per the manual for the Z plug. Inside the solid-state controller there is a series of transistors that serve as on-off switches to activate or deactivate many of the control circuits, and these transistors are connected to the electrical components that they control through the Z plug. The connectors in the Z plug are labeled to identify which transistors they are connected to. It sounds like maybe the transistor circuit or transistor itself in the controller for that timer circuit is bad, or in the case of my cart, going bad. |

Re: 48 volt solonoid won't energize
Yama, I was just guessing about the voltage doubler. You are probley right. That does make more sense. Also think your right about the controller might be bad. The problem is that i have replace the controller twice and the guy said that the controller was okay. Thats the reason I have been trying to elimanate everything else before i send it back. I will send this one back and see what happens. Will let know when it comes in. Thanks for all the help.

Does your cart still have the T box style controller or has it been converted to the newer style controller?
