Default 95 club car ds series plum quick bandit?

I was currently advised to use a 36 vlt motor on 48vlt system for speed.OK.I was wondering if I went with a stock motor then I should be OK with leaving other electrical componets stock, correct?but if I went with a bandit from plum quick then would I need to upgrade my controller?and while we are talking what is the purpose of upgrading the f/r switch and lever?

95 is a series drive system, changing the motor to a 36v series motor can boost torque and speed by 30%.
Of course changing to a bigger controller will really help with torque on a series cart.

I have a 36v in my 48 v series cart. I do have an alltrax 400amp controller, HD solenoid and a 36v f/r (they are beefier than the 48's). I talked to PQ about putting one of their 36v bandits and they said I could get another 30% torque and speed! I will do this later but spending too much time and money on making it look OK.
