Rug Rat,

How tight were the speakers in the "footwell". Were the batteries in the way of the install. I have a 48 volt 2004 precedent and I like your setup. Thanks. tom@whlong.com is my email address if you have other pictures that might help me with my install.

One 30a voltage reducer can power all of that? Doesn't the sub amp have a 80a fuse etc?

I use my Bluetooth speaker, mounted it up on the roof where those 2 flaps stick down with some Velcro straps and it works awesome. That way if I wanted to take it out and bring it somewhere else for some music I have it. Didn't have to worry about any of the other stuff and it was a 20 minute or less install.

I have since purchased another golf cart and went the same route. With Bluetooth speakers today, it just didn't make sense to go through all the hassle of installing a head unit and speakers. I'm happy with the sound I'm getting out of my Bluetooth speaker too.

I am using a JL Audio XD400 4 for ampification. The amp is very efficient but is rated to draw at the max output current of the converter when wired at low impedances. I have my high frequency channels wired at 8ohms to reduce the amount of current consumed by the amp. It puts out more than enough sound wired at the higher impedanceand leaves enough capacity to power the radio and a few other 12v components. I did however move the headlights off the 30a converter and installed a dedicated 10a converter to power the HID ballasts for the headlights.
