Default 2001 club car ds gas bad rearend noise

I just bought a 2001 cc ds gas cart. Motor runs great. But, has a bad rear end noise. It sounds like a bearing out. Cart still runs top speed. Took drive belt off and ran motor to see if it still made the noise, to make sure it wasn't the motor. It wasn't the motor. I spun the rearend pulley to see if I could get it to make a noise but, no noise. Pulled the back brake drums off to make sure it wasn't brakes sticking, It wasnt that. I installed the back wheels back on, and spun them each side to see if I could hear the noise but, no noise. I only hear the noise when I go down the road. At slow speed it's load, and faster speed it gets quieter. Has anyone had the same issue? If so, how do I fix it.

Grinding...I changed the rearend oil before I drove it. I feeled it back with 90 weight gear oil. I feeled it until it started coming out of the top hole.

It seemes to make the grinding noise every time the rearend makes a rotation... If that makes sense?

i had a similar problem on mine except mine made the noise anytime the wheels would turn in the air or on the ground and higher rpms. i still havent tore into it yet, gta be a bearing of some sort or a wore gear in my transaxle. since you said yours only does it going down the road. more or less when weight is applied to the axle, i would suspect a wheel bearing is heating up and making ur noise. i would check the wheel bearings first.

Have you tried running cart with seat off and listening while running...could be coming from the driven clutch, it will be obvious if the seats off running if that though and not in the enclosed rear end?

Just a thought. Make sure forward and reverse are engaging all the way. Had a problem with a bent shifter cable that was not engaging forward and reverse all the way and it made a terrible grinding noise.

Yeah I ran the cart with the seat off to see if it was the motor. It sounds like its coming from the transaxle. When I jacked it up and got the wheels off the ground and weight off the back tires the sound still there. It's probably a bearing in the transaxle. I just hate to let it keep grinding like that. All it's doing is getting worse. I don't want to keep driven it that way and mess more things up.

Did you check the transmition oil? I filled both of mine with amsoil lube and now mine is quieter than they ever were. and they were both empty.
