Re: Spark, fuel & compression but won't start
It will never start if the valve is stuck or not seating properly

Re: Spark, fuel & compression but won't start
if in fact it has good compression than it can,t be much of a valve issue, i have driven plenty of carts with valve issues however they all started but would run crappy and backfire.....i would also take exhaust loose at engine see if it runs...................................

Re: Spark, fuel & compression but won't start
The compression is the problem. after your suggestion of using a compression gauge I borrowed one and it proved to have little to no compression.
Thanks for all the suggestions & help from all you handymen. Now I'll be tearing the whole engine apart. |

I would take the head off and look at the valves. If the engine was not smoking, you should be able to get by with a valve job.

Re: Spark, fuel & compression but won't start
Ok. Like the other poster said. It's time to pull the head. One thing I've noticed is these engines suck grass in pack it around the heads very easily and these heads are thin and warp easily. If you have a blown head gasket you should check the head trueness. You might have to have the head trued up.
