Default Need a little advice for my club car purchase

I will be purchasing a 2008 electric club car ds can anybody advise me on a motor-controller upgrade that will work for hunting situations. Ideally a system that could be switched back and forth for torque and speed( Hi and low controller) . Also could this be done for 1k ?
Thanks, John

Welcome to the forum!
I think you have to pick either speed or torque. I don't think it is possible to have two controllers, even though it would be totally awesome...
Scottyb has some kits for sale I think for under $1000
Just go to cartsunlimited.net and check it out

I used to have a cart with a EMP(I think thats right) iT WAS SWITCHABLE FROM TORQUE OR SPEED. I had mine hard wired to speed only. Ran great at 72v and 48v too.

My d&d es 81 series motor took me from 14mph to 28.6 on stock tires!!
I lifted it with 23s and with my 650 alltrax it has enough torque to pop wheelies from a stand still and even with four adults it popped a huge wheelie going up a steep hill..
Motor was only 560 ish then buy the biggest controller you can afford. Torque is addicting. If you get s 300-400 you'll regret not going bigger
