Voltage reducers

On ebay I see different types . I've got a g9 want to add a radio and maybe some lights any suggestions on what type to use .

I always prefer full battery pack (ie: 36 or 48 volt) to 12 volt units. Doesnt put a possible stain on just 2 batteries.
