91 ezgo dies when pedal fully engauged
newbie here, I just bought this 91 ezgo for $600. I has only one problem. It runs fine until the pedal is fully engauged and then it dies. Lift up 1/4 of its throw and it run again. It will go in reverse full pedal no problems. I read the trouble shooting, but when I check the volts levels, everything has 36 volts when the pedal is fully engauged but motor is not running. What did I miss?

Re: 91 ezgo dies when pedal fully engauged
The 1204/5 controllers shut down if the throttle input gets too high.
Pull the black and white wires with push on connectors off the controller and measure between them with an ohmmeter. Should be about zero ohms with pedal up and about 5000 Ohms with pedal down. In reverse, the pedal down value should be about 2500 Ohms. |

Re: 91 ezgo dies when pedal fully engauged
Adjust the potentiometer output to 5500 MAX - your signal is over the limit.
Potentiometer adjustment .... Loosen the arm clamp nut, Turn the potentiometer adjustment screw very slightly (clockwise for higher)and tighten the clamp. It is best to do this with a ohm meter plugged into the 2 out wires. just remove them from the control and plug your tester into them. tighten clamp when adjustment has been made. test several times and reconnect wires. Easy fix |

That easy fix may be why you got it so cheap.
