Default 98 EZGO all over the road when I have passengers on the rear seat

Hello all, I have a 98 ezgo with a rear flip seat and HD springs. My problem is whenever I have passengers on the back seat the cart is uncontrollable. It wants to swerve all over the road and any speed over a slow walking speed is dangerous and feels like its going to flip over. Everybody I know has a rear seat on their cart and they dont have this problem, yet mine is all over the road. Any ideas why?

DO yourself a great big giant favor go out and check your alignment measure the in side of the rims edge on both front and back of the front wheels you should only have 1/16 to 1/8 toe in / \ meaning the front of the front tires are closer together than the rear of the front tires, then adjust tie rods as needed to get to spec. if that don't work you may need to get a (no fat chicks) sticker and deal with it unless you add some weight to the front of the cart

I've heard some people say add weight to the front. Problem with that is it would slow the cart down. I am going to double check the alignment but I just set it last week so I dont think its off. I just dont see why mine is like this while several other people I know with rear seats aren't having any problems at all.

if you haven't already done it, jack up the front end and see if anything is loose. Adding weight to the rear behind the axle will lift the front end and make it light. If there is play it will be exaggerated

Not to sound like a smart AZZ, but what kind of weight are we talking about on the back of the cart?, what about air pressure on rear tires?

Nothing is loose. I just replaced the steering box and tie rods with new, not used parts.

A set of coilovers on the rear will likely help you out. My buddy had the same issue. It took him a looooong time to listen to my advice. Once he did, no more problem with swaying. I put coilovers on all 3 carts that I built. About $49 on fleabay.

on my marathon I am having some issue somewhat related but I have coil overs from a Polaris sportsman 700 utility . but my cart does it around 17-20mph then it gets real sketchy around 27-30 mph.
im almost positive for me is a tie rod, steering stem bushing, or a wheel(hub) bearing is shot

I have coilovers on the front. I had already planned to replace the jakes spindle lift with a jakes long travel and move the coil overs to the rear. I have HD springs in the rear now and it rides extremely rough so I also plan to remove the HD spring and go back to stock springs with the coilover shocks. If that doesnt work I may even install the jakes long travel rear lift as well.
