Weve had a bunch of them, they dont seem to roll quite as easily as the transaxles. Not a huge difference, but noticeable.Keep in mind that they run an automotive style gear set,vs a cog-type in the transaxles, that type is more efficient by design.

Ok, i was not ready for that much of a workout this early in the morning, lol. I could not push the cart with just one hand and it was a PITA to move it with two but once i got it started i could then let go and push with one hand. Hope this helps.

Fluid is right at the bottom of the fill hole. What kind of fluid are you guys using? I've been using regular 80-90 gear oil. Not sure if ther is a lighter or better alternative. Anyone else with a comparison bring it on. Thanks for the input!!

I ran 75-90 synthetic in mine.Did you back off the brake adjusters and unhook the cables?Frozen cables will drive you nuts,as will shoes that are hung up.Hope this helps.

Yes, I've actually removed the entire hub and ran it, jacked up of course. I'm getting a pretty large rpm decrease when running the cart. Just trying to determine if I'm having a bearing issue somewhere in the rear. I can't get over the difference in pushing around a txt and mine. I'm running out of options on the issue of the large drop in rpm, not much left except the rear. I may tear into it. Anyone know if the spicer rear internals are bearings I could find locally at an auto parts store or something?

Saying 'it pushes easy' is a relative term. You need quantitative data to measure the difference. When I get home tonight, I will use a bathroom scale to measure how much it takes to move the cart from a dead stop with the belt off. I will also measure how much it takes to keep it moving. I'll just use the scale to push the cart, on flat asphalt, and watch the reading. I have an ME29 transaxle in mine. If rfincher86 would be so kind to do a similar test with his, with the belt off, that would provide real numbers to see if there is a large difference between the two.
