Re: G2 & G1 clutch spring
I have personally never used the umax spring but have heard nothing but good things about it. For the price it is well worth the investment. I've used the white stiff aftermarket spring and it was way to stiff, it was like driving around in low gear with no top end speed. A complete waste of money. Many have also said this. I'd buy the umax spring and give it a shot.

Re: G2 & G1 clutch spring
If I may add..... G2 thru early G14's (Yamaha transaxles) would be set a B-4, Late G14's thru G22's (Dana transaxles) B-3. If you have a "stock" Yamaha engine and need more "torque", use the Umax spring in the stock "preload" setting to start with. If your running a "Bigblock", use the standard spring in the stock preload setting, (or go with B-2 depending on you primary clutch engagement RPM) you'd already have all the torque you need. Just my 2 cents worth...carry on.
