Motors stuck. I think the spline and the motor are rusted together any advice.

Is it possible to swap out the entire transaxles?

I ask because the agreed upon method for getting a stuck motor unstuck involves taking the transaxle out anyhow, might as well just do the swap.

It would be possible but one carts lifted ones not it would be a lot more work

Not sure if you saw my last post where I edited it, but getting the motor unstuck without tearing up the armature involves pulling the axle out anyway, a swap will be simplest in the end IMO.

Damaging the motor itself isn't a problem would pulling the axle still be the best way?

You can take the motor apart and the only thing that will be stuck to the rearend will be the coupler and the armature, then you can spray the coupler with some PB blaster and let it soak and it will come apart

This works, but it takes a lot of time, and be forewarned that sometimes the armature still won't come off no matter how much you soak, how hard you pry, and invariably you'll damage the armature or mar up the cast rear end housing because you've been using it to pry against. The method to get it off involves taking out the transaxle, having it soaked around the coupler where the motor slides on in PB blaster, and then standing the whole thing up vertically on the passenger side so that the armature faces the ground. Now you can pick it up a couple feet and let it slam down, and just like a giant slide hammer the armature, or whole motor if you've left it intact, will come off. Watch your toes.
