As you use the cart the meter should drop a bar or two. As wired now the meter should go off when the key is off, but when you turn it back on the meter should still be down. After charging the meter should go back to full. If you put the cart in tow, then back to run this will reset the meter to full also.

I'll have to run it down some to see. I don't have a tow switch. Mine is a 2003 but it's a resistor series cart with V-glide
