Re: MCOR reaching full potential? 5K?
What would that mean with full speed only

Re: MCOR reaching full potential? 5K?
If you had the other 2 wires from the MCOR connected to the Controller Terminals #2 and #3 and the cart did not work without the purple wire, then You have a 3-wire throttle and HPD enabled.
The 3-wire throttle is not a 5k-0Ω device, it works on a voltage divider principle and the position of the wires on Terminals #2 and #3 is important. The yellow wire from the MCOR wiper (Terminal #3) should vary in Voltage, from around 0v with pedal UP all the way to the reference voltage on Terminal #2 (when in forward) as You press the pedal. You need to pull the quick connect from Terminal #3 just enough to touch the voltmeter probe there and measure the voltage as Your press the pedal (The wheels will turn). Note the voltage when the cart starts to move and the maximum voltage reached. Measure the voltage on Terminal #2 as well since it is your max voltage reference. |

Re: MCOR reaching full potential? 5K?
It looks like You are getting 100% throttle.
Are You experiencing any problems now? You may need to perform the test when you are having a problem as it could be a bad connection at the FNR micro-switch. The 0.83v may be border line of triggering HPD on that controller, meaning the throttle signal was already too high when the Controller Terminal #1 got +48v (and the Solenoid closed). You can try running for a while with the MCOR micro-switch by-passed to see if You still have the problem. Remove the 2-pin connector from the MCOR and put a jumper (large paper clip will work) on the 2 pin harness connector. Put electrical tape around the connector to avoid a short. That will cause the Controller and Solenoid to come ON as You turn the key switch ON, which should present a voltage level lower than 0.83v at Terminal #3 (MCOR is at rest without the pedal pressed) and avoid HPD. |

Re: MCOR reaching full potential? 5K?
Awesome! Was just wondering if my problem was throttle related. I have 23 inch tires and swapping from a stock controller to aftermarket 700 hasn't changed much. Still 15 mph on stock motor. I suppose I'll just bite the bullet and get another 11hp beast motor
