Default 1990 EZGO with club car charger questions

This will be my first time buying any golf cart. I am new to the site as well. The cart seems to be in good shape. He did take the EZGO body off due to rust and put on a club car body. He said it runs good but has no charger.

My question is what kinda charger do I need to buy?

Also any other advise anyone has for on this cart would be great.

Thanks

If it is a original ezgo drive system you should get any 36v golf cart charger with a "SB50" plug. I suggest a DPI brand (good quality, good price, made in usa). Avoid china junk chargers, what you will save in the beginning will be lost 2 years from now when its transformer fails and no parts are available.

Thanks for you response. The cart is on sale for $500.00. I post a picture and see what you think about it.

The DPI charger mentioned is available with many different cord ends. So if you have CC receptacle order it that a way.

Old CC used the \ / crow's foot plug

Yep, but old marathon used a grey or black "sb50" style plug. I think that plug went out of fashion because it was too "fool-proof" and too reliable (same with "crow-foot"). They couldnt sell enough parts. If a SB50 "snaps in" it is working correctly, and cant really screw-up a "crow-foot" plug (its a clothes dryer plug without the ground).
